BRITISH CORRESPONDENCE CHESS TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP (BCCTC)

Member clubs/associations of the BFCC are entitled to enter a team in the BCCTC. Other teams

can qualify through the feeder league (British Correspondence Chess League -BCCL). The entry

fee is £30 and each team consists of eight players, and there are nine teams altogether.

Pairings are based on the Hutton system whereby each team member plays two games (one

with White, one with Black) against one opponent, and each team plays every other team only

in one two-game match on one board. For example:-

Team A plays Team B on Board 1

Team A plays Team C on Board 2

Team A plays Team D on Board 3 etc.

In this way, all the teams play each other on one board. All games are played by post (with the option to switch to email if both players agree).

2008-9 Result:-

Square Bashers 14½,

Sheffield 9, Old Bradfordians 8½, SCCA 8½, HSBC Bank PLC 7½, BCCA "B" 6½, Mensa 6½.

BCCA "A" 10½, Civil Service Administrators 9½, Revenue & Customs 9,
